FLOCO Taking a Stand for Free Speech!

At FLOCO Music, we refuse to let the heavy hand of censorship silence the voices of these incredible artists. Recently, both Warrior Worship, the Christian Metal-Rock powerhouse, and Harper Cassidy, the Southern honkey tonk siren, faced a severe blow when our current music distribution company decided to block their albums from reaching their fans. This will not be tolerated. FLOCO stands firm in the defense of freedom of speech and will not tolerate any infringement thereof. Period. As an American company that is based out of the "free state" of Florida and the state of Oregon, we have a zero-tolerance policy on censorship as well as a zero-tolerance stance on religious oppression.

Standing Strong: Warriors of Music

Warrior Worship embodies the fusion of powerful melodies and profound lyrics, creating a musical experience that speaks to the souls of many. Their dedication to spreading a message rooted in Catholic and Orthodox faiths of hope and strength through their music has garnered them a loyal following across in a very short amount of time. However, despite their unwavering commitment to their craft, they were met with censorship that sought to stifle their voice and halt the spread of their inspirational tunes.

As a Christian Metal-Rock band, Warrior Worship is no stranger to challenges. Their music serves as a beacon of light for those navigating life's storms, providing solace and empowerment to all who listen. To witness such a notable band face censorship is not only disheartening but also a stark reminder of the power dynamics at play within the music industry. Warrior Worship is very critical of the weak stance of Christian today as they have decided to roll over and not engage in the cultural wars being fought around the globe. Their debut album, Defend the Faith, is full of strong and powerful songs that serve as a call to action for Christians, especially those in the United Kingdom. It is because of these strong unapologetic messages that they were censored.

The Unyielding Spirit of Harper Cassidy

On the other end of the spectrum lies Harper Cassidy, an old-school 1980's / 1990's retro Southern sensation whose voice resonates with the raw emotions of country music. With a unique blend of nostalgia and heartfelt storytelling, Harper's music captures the essence of a bygone era while remaining relevant to contemporary audiences. Despite her timeless appeal and undeniable talent, she too fell victim to the ruthless act of censorship. One of her more popular songs "Pottstown Gold" makes fun of Budlight and Dylan Mulvaney, while another song "Cuck-Try" pokes fun at the sad state of Country Music today.

Harper Cassidy's music embodies the essence of authentic storytelling, painting vivid pictures of life's trials and triumphs through her lyrics. Her music serves as a reminder of the rich heritage of Southern music and the enduring charm of classic honkey tonk tunes. To see her artistry silenced is not only an injustice to her but also a disservice to music lovers everywhere.

Our mission is clear - to break free from the oppressive grip of censorship's iron claw which seeks to control and manipulate the creative output of artists. Every note, every lyric, and every melody deserve to be heard without fear of censorship or suppression.

Let’s be absolutely clear on this point: we fully support parents in ensuring that content is age-appropriate for their children. FLOCO maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against grooming in the books, films, and music we publish. To expand on that commitment, we go out of our way to post content warning labels on anything a child might be inclined to listen to, read, or watch. What's suitable for adults is not always suitable for children, and we believe strongly in protecting that distinction. Unfortunately, those who support the grooming of children—an unacceptable form of abuse—often try to confuse the removal of age-inappropriate content from minors (such as in public and private schools or child-focused entertainment) with censorship. These are not the same, and it's important to recognize the difference.

Remember, the music will never be silenced as long as we continue to raise our voices in harmony. Currently, FLOCO Music management is working on securing a new distribution company to work with going forward. For the time being we will not publish the name of the company that has blocked the distribution of Warrior Worship and Harper Cassidy's debut albums. We have made this decision to avoid retaliation and protect the music of our other artists that have already been distributed through this company. Once we have successfully found a new distribution company and have migrated all existing artists over is when we will announce the name of this company and issue a full review of their draconian practices on our YouTube Channel which has yet to be created.
